Extreme Networks X870-32C Base is positioned as a high-end basic core switch, with a core configuration of 32 25GbE SFP28 high-speed ports. It focuses on "high-density high-speed access+minimalist deployment" and is suitable for the basic high bandwidth networking needs of medium-sized data centers and large campus network core layers.
All 32 25GbE SFP28 ports support line speed forwarding, with a single port bandwidth of up to 25Gbps. The total bandwidth can easily support high-speed access to server clusters and 10G wireless AP arrays. Compared to traditional 10GbE core switches, the single port bandwidth is increased by 2.5 times, making it suitable for bandwidth intensive services such as AI inference and high-definition video streaming.
As the basic model of the X870 series, it retains core expansion capabilities and reserves 2 40GbE QSFP+upstream ports on the body. It can achieve 40G high-speed interconnection with the ultra core switch through multi-mode/single-mode optical modules, avoiding the upstream bandwidth bottleneck when 32 25GbE ports are concurrent.
